Fun in the sun
In the mood for soft sand, salty air, and rolling waves? There’s a hidden gem not far from Balistidae that you and your family can enjoy, especially when the westerly wind picks up. This is Ponta Abril. Kilometres of golden sands, sparkling blue ocean as far as the eye can see, and only the people you hold dear on a pristine beach... what more do you need?
‘Ponta’ means ‘point’ in Portuguese, and the point break at Abril becomes a solid, right-hand swell that can be surfed all the way to the shore.
Waves, rock pools, and a wreck
What you do on your beach day is entirely up to you. Walk along the never-ending shoreline to the yacht that ran aground here, and frolic in the waves, paddle out to the reef, or see what’s lurking in the rock pools. We’ll get you there and back, with snacks and drinks along with portable shade, beach furniture, bats, balls and a portable speaker for chilled vibes.
