Diving experiences that are out of this world
The shores and reefs around Santa Maria are untouched and remote, offering spectacular topography and amazing aquatic life. They’re also free from commercialised charters and the boatloads of divers that come with them. Your scuba diving adventure begins at the Ocean Echo dive centre. From there you’ll head out to sea to explore the underwater treasures of the Santa Maria reef, 4km directly east of the point, where you can dive to depths of 30m. Further dives to Baixa Danae, Ray Alley, and other productive dive sites can also be explored.
Exploring the sub-aquatic wilderness off the coast of Mozambique is nothing short of spectacular. It’s no wonder why it’s known as one of the best diving hotspots in the world.

Dives are not conducted by Balistidae and will be for your own account. You’ll be in the capable hands of the dive centre crew at the Ocean Echo. We’ll transport you to the dive centre, along with your gear, and pick you up.
